Purpose of the catalogue
The UZOCE Public Domain Literature Library exists to make historically significant works freely accessible to readers. The collection focuses on medicine, health, and anatomy, drawing from public-domain sources to support research, education, and general interest.
Scope and selection
Works are selected from Project Gutenberg's open-access repository. Selection prioritizes titles that offer substantive content in medical history, public health, and related fields. The catalogue currently includes 96 titles, each with a catalogue note written by the collection editor, Sylvia Waldo.
Source attribution
Every work is accompanied by its original publisher (Project Gutenberg), author names, and a set of keywords derived from the source metadata. No additional attributions are fabricated.
Bibliographic records
Each record includes title, author(s), publisher, keywords, target-reader indication, and a catalogue note. The note is an original summary that describes the work's content and context, not a promotional endorsement.
Category assignment
